Fall Break Vacation Part 3 (4 Corners & Grand Canyon)

Today was our biggest and heaviest travel day. We got up and drove an hour to 4 Corners. We had the spot all to ourselves and were able to have some fun taking some pictures of us in different states and in all the states at one time. We finished just in time because as we were walking to our car a big tour bus had got there and 50 people were walking to take pictures. We were grateful we could play and have all the fun we wanted without bothering others. Then we drove another 4 hours to the Grand Canyon. We got out and wandered around and took a few pictures. Hiked to the top of this lookout tower. Took a few more pictures. Ate a picnic lunch where we met some people from West Virginia which was one of the last license plates we were looking for and then got back in the car to drive another 3 hours to our motel. It was a busy day of driving and looking at beautiful landscapes. The kids were great in the car the whole time and we never heard "Are we there yet?"

I can't see anything but the title. Is it me or is it you? Were you really blogging at 5:30 a.m.?

Isn't it cool that there is a place in the US where you can be in four states at one time? Looks like the kids loved it! The Grand Canyon is so gorgeous. My daughter, Aimee, (I don't think you got to meet her, did you? She came to Shanghai last Christmas), she worked at a resort on one rim of the Grand Canyon. Wouldn't that be a memorable summer job? Looks like you guys had your own memorable time!
