What is that you may ask? Well, they take this powder which is flavored and add water and then stir it up and pour it on this frozen wheel. 
It freezes it and she scrapes it off and Voila!!! Fried Ice Cream!!!
They also had "Dippin' Dots" ice cream. 
We love that in America but they don't have that in China. We love ice cream and so do the Filipinos. We had yummy ice cream everywhere.
We also loved getting donuts. We had Dunkin Donuts several times, and Krispy Kreme Donuts and Mr. Donut. Wish I would have taken pictures of those but my mouth was watering too much to remember to pull out my camera. We also loved the fresh Kalamansi lime juice.
Nothing could beat the fresh Pineapple shakes. They were to die for. 
We also had yummy mexican nachos. 
And our all time favorite was the crepes. Eric asked to have these everyday but unfortunately we weren't close enough to get these everyday.

and so then Eric wanted to make one too. 
My ever friendly Emma made friends with all the local kids
and wanted to take their picture. 
I said she could and we definitely got an array of face shots.
One mother came and talked to me and told me "Emma is a friendly girl. She is really nice." I agreed with her. She asked me where we live and I told her China right now. She said she hopes to see us again next year. I didn't have the heart to tell her Emma wouldn't be back next year. I know as a family we would love to go back again, though. Since everyone didn't want to move too much from their sunburns we did a little shopping. The girls all got a sarong
and then got their hair braided. 
I thought it looked so cool. I wish I knew how to do that because it definitely would keep their hair more manageable . As we were walking around lots of people looked at the girls (now even more than before) and would ask them where they got their hair done. Many were Chinese women and wanted to just talk to the girls. I think secretly sometimes they all like to feel like a celebrity. Again it was great day but we knew we were leaving the next day.
We all got ready and had a few hours until our ride was going to take us to the boat to take us back to the other island to fly back to Manila. We decided to get a trike to take us to Puka Beach. 
Eric was wore out from all the fun we had. 
It was fun to see other parts of the island.
The waves there were giant and the kids had a hard time not getting in the water. 
David and I had a hard time keeping them away from the water. As our last few minutes at Boracay were slipping away we took a final picture of us on the beach. 
We divided into two groups and each of us sat on our side. 
We had to put our camera away in a waterproof area so we weren't able to take many pictures. It was probably a pretty good idea because during our sail around the entire island of Boracay we had a few windy and wavy minutes. The waves were bumpy and splashy on the side with mom, Heidi and Emma. The girls giggled and said it was almost as much fun as a roller coaster ride. Eric was content not getting too wet but dad and Meagan were a little bored. We went past this cliff called, "Monkey Face Rock". We thought it totally looked like a monkey face, don't you? 
Then we hit more waves and Eric and Meagan and dad also got wet. Eric was not as happy getting wet as when we were sailing smoothly. When we finished sailing around the entire island the girls said they loved sailing and want to go again but Eric said he was never doing that again. I think he will change his mind if we ever get another chance to go sailing. Because we were on the boat for 3 hours straight we all got sunburned. We were all a little tired after playing at the beach and sailing. We saw this Mexican restaurant and decided it looked good. The kids liked it just because of the swings. Can you tell we are sunburned?
They had so much fun playing on the beach. 
This morning as we were playing on the beach someone had caught a squid and the kids thought that was so cool. 
Dad booked us a tour guide to take us on a boat and go snorkeling.
We loved being on a boat with the wind in our hair. 
The girls were excited to try snorkeling but also a little scared.
We stopped and Eric and I stayed on the boat 
and the girls and dad got in the water to snorkel.
They were amazed at how they could see the fish in person just like they see them at the aquarium. We took these pictures with Eric's camera he got for Christmas. 
We had forgotten to get an underwater camera and this was the best we had. I was amazed at how good their turned out. They started out ok but Heidi got scared and freaked out and then she said her legs hurt really bad. Mom was not being very sympathetic and kept telling her to stay in the water and look at the fish. Finally our guide, Louie, looked at her legs and said she had been stung by jellyfish. I felt terrible that I wasn't nice. He quickly cut some limes and rubbed them on her legs and then called over the "ice cream" boat and bought a ton of ice cream pop sickles to rub all over her legs. She eventually said it didn't hurt.
I don't know whether it was because the sting had gone away or her legs were frozen. We were all ready for a break so Louie took us to another island to make us lunch. The beach was made of crushed coral. We got to pick out one of these covered picnic areas to eat our lunch. The kids went off to explore and found this fun swing they all could sit on.

and David went off to take pictures.
Our lunch was DELICIOUS!!!! 
The kids asked if we could have Louie cook for us everyday. We did ask him on another day and it was just as good. After lunch Meagan, Emma and David decided to brave the water again and go snorkeling. 
They were out for a few minutes before Emma said she was done. We got back on the boat and Louie took us to another place. This time Emma and Heidi both said they were done. Mom decided she should go out. Mom, dad and Meagan were in the water for a little while before Meagan and David got stung by jellyfish and then we all decided we were done. No more snorkeling for us. After we got back to the beach, though, the kids were right back into the water. Smiles were back on all their faces!!
They just love playing at the beach.
